Reflections

I took this picture for the reflections assignment because I love the way the distant trees are colored and how they reflect in the water. This picture works well for this assignment because your eyes are drawn right to the reflections of the trees in the water, that are the main subject. That means the trees and the grasses are secondary subjects.

I like this picture because of the way the light is reflecting on only half of the water, so one side is dark and one is light.  The main subject is the beam of light in the water and the rocks up front are the secondary subjects.

This is one of my favorite reflections photos because  I like that the whole tree is reflected in the water, but you cant see the actual tree.  The reflection is the main subject and the rocks are secondary subjects.

I love this picture because of the mist in the back round and the beautiful reflection in the water.  Is a nice example of reflection because the tree kinda looks like it keeps going on forever.

I really like the colors in this reflections picture.  The tops of the photo looks like morning and the bottom looks like night.  The main subject is the reflection and the tree is the secondary subject.

I like this picture more for the sun coming up in the back through the trees than i do for the reflection on the hood, but i still really like it. My truck is the main subject and the secondary subjects are the trees.

Seasons Change

I chose this picture for the assignment seasons change because there are some colorful fall leaves in the water but there is still some green grasses in the back round. I like the way the picture has light on the main subject, then gets darker as you look back. I wish i would have got a close up shot of the leaves in the water.

I like this picture because of the way the water looks up close. I think a different angle would also look nice for this picture. This picture works well for the seasons change assignment because the water is so  low since we haven't had rain in awhile.

In this picture I like the angle its at because its kind of an odd angle , but I think i would like it even more if the sun was shining on the rock and the tree instead of the dead grasses.  THis is a good seasons change photo because the grasses are just starting to get brown but everything else is still green.

Just some left overs for the deer to eat. I think this is a wonderful seasons photo because after corn is chopped in the fall this is all thats left.  I think I might change this into a black and white photo because it might look nicer.

Corn stalks! This picture makes me think of the transition of summer to fall. I really like the way the stalks of corn         make lines. I think cropping this picture to only see the up close corn stalks would make it look better.

Open Theme #2

Beans! This is a picture of  a bean in the field by my house. The main subject is the one bean plant and the secondary subjects are the other beans in the field. I think the close up setting worked well because my eye is drawn right to the one bean plant. I also think that it would have looked nice if i would have got an even closer picture of this plant. I look this picture because it reminds me of fall. This was an opened theme assignment. shutter speed- 1/60   Aperture- f/3.5   ISO-64 focal length-7.4 mm  flash- on
This is my dog Cody. He is the  main subject in this picture and the tractor is the secondary subject. I think the lighting is very nice because Cody is in the shade and the tractor is in the sun so it adds a little more to the picture. I wish i would have tried different angles with this picture. I took this picture because Cody was smiling and I thought it was very cute. This is another picture from our opened themed assignment. Shutter speed-1/350  Aperture-f/4.9  ISO-64  focal length-7.4 mm  flash-off
The main subject in the picture is the corn cob and the grasshopper. The secondary subjects would be all the other leaves. I think i would like this picture better if the back round leaves were blurry. I decided to take this photograph because I saw the grass hopper hiding in the leaves. This is for an open themed assignment. shutter speed-0.00463392 aperture-f/3.5 ISO-64 focal length-7.4 mm flash-off
After the storm. The main subject is the leaf ,in this photo, and the secondary subject is the barn. i think it worked well having the camera on the close up setting so the barn was blurred and the leaf was sharp so it draws your eye there. I would have liked to tried taking a picture of the leaf even closer up. This is the last picture in the opened themed assignment #2. 83 chevy

This is a picture of my dads first truck. The truck would be the main subject and the trees and grasses are secondary subjects. I really like the way the light is in this photograph. I think a different angle would also look nice. I decided to take this picture because i like the old look of it and the light was shining perfectly on it. This assignment was an open theme subject. I really enjoyed being able to take pictures of what ever I wanted. Shutter speed-0.00514403 aperture-f/4.3 ISO- 64 Focal length-7.4 mm flash- off
