Fences

Living on a farm its easy to find lots of fences.  I like this picture because its a different angle than a person would normally see a fence.

This picture is probably my favorite because it has lots of different wires on it so it makes it more interesting to look at.

I like the barn in the back round of this photo and how the fence posts frame the barn. I wish the sun was up a little higher but i still like this picture.

This is another one i like because of the old wires, it really show it is old because the cows ran through it so many times over the years so there are plenty of wires.

open theme. SNOW!

I thought since it finally snowed it would be a good idea to make that the theme of my open theme assignment. I really like this picture because of my kitty's facial expression, he looks so serious. I also like how the sun is hitting him and the shadow it made.

The main reason i like  this photo is the snow thats only on half of the plant. that is why i decided to get a close up of it.

I really like the distant view of the cows and the coloring of this picture.   Cows are one of my favorite  animals to take pictures of , they always look so nosey.

Land of Giants

I really enjoyed this assignment. I thought it would be really hard but it actually was pretty easy and didn't take me long to do at all. I think the angels work well and it looks like I'm actually that little. This assignment helped me learn more about making a realistic photo shoped pictures and how to put in fake shadows.

Best of November...

This is one of my favorites from November. The main reason i like it is the colors, they remind me of fall. This picture was taken for the abandoned assignment.

I like the shadows this gear made on the old wood. I also like the texture of the wood, i took this picture for our texture assignment.

This picture is one of my favorites because i like taking pictures of old things. i chose to put a antique filter on it would make it a little more interesting and make the texture in the plowed field show a little more.

I also really like this picture. i like the single yellow board in it and all the other boards on it holding it together, it really goes with the abandoned theme i took this picture for.

I like the lighting in this picture. I took it to show texture because i like the wood and metal texture together, but i think the lighting is what makes the picture.

This is my favorite shot of November. It was taken to represent abandoned. I boosted the color a little bit to make the grasses stand out more and i also darkened it to make the left corner with the sun in it less burnt out.

CD Case

This assignment was a lot harder than i thought it would be. My favorite part of it is the back. I didn't really know what reggae music was before this assignment, but its a very interesting music type.

Open theme (CATS!)

This is my sister's cat, Lumpy. Shes a pretty angry cat so its weird to get a picture of her looking happy! I like the old wood steps she is sitting on so there is a more plain back round.

This is my kitten Koda. She is a kitten so of course she is playful and I think this picture shows that perfectly.

some of my favorite professionals

These first three pictures are taken by Walker Evans. I really like looking at them because he took many pictures during the great depression and it makes me see what life was like then. His pictures make me feel sad, but they make me think of my Grandpa. I also like his pictures because they show just everyday day things from life back then.

These last three pictures are taken by Jim Brandenburg. I really love his work because of all the beautiful nature shots. He took many pictures for National Geographic. They make you feel like you are there even though you will probably never get to see it in person. I love looking through his photos because some are very simple and some are elaborate but some how they are all interesting to look at.
